Ronin Wallet has expanded its multi-chain capabilities to include support for the Solana network. This update allows users to manage Solana assets and perform cross-chain transactions directly within the wallet interface, broadening the scope of the wallet beyond EVM-compatible chains.
This quick guide outlines how to enable the network and understand the technical differences when importing Solana wallets to Ronin.
Importing Wallets (Seed Phrase vs. Private Key)
If you are importing an existing wallet into Ronin Wallet [Extension] [Mobile], it is critical to understand how Solana addresses are generated based on the import method used.
Option A: Importing via Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase)
- If you import a wallet using a 12 or 24-word Seed Phrase, the wallet will automatically generate both the Solana wallet address and its corresponding EVM (Ethereum/Ronin) address. This is the recommended method for full functionality.
Option B: Importing via Private Key
- If you import a specific Solana Private Key, the wallet will import only that Solana address. It will not automatically create or link a counterpart EVM wallet address.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you require both EVM and Solana capabilities for a specific account, ensure you are importing via Seed Phrase or that you have the individual private keys for both networks.
How to Enable Solana
Solana support is not visible by default. To start using Solana, you must enable the network in your settings:
Step 1. Open the Ronin Wallet app.
Step 2. Click the hamburger menu button.
Step 3. Select Active Network.
Step 4. Toggle Solana.
Once enabled, your Solana assets will appear in your wallet dashboard.
Where do I check my Solana address?
To view and copy your Solana address, hover over the clipboard icon where you’ll see all the addresses in your active networks.
Note: You can distinguish the two easily: EVM addresses always start with 0x, while Solana addresses are longer alphanumeric strings that do not use a prefix.
Cross-Chain Swapping
With this integration, users can now swap assets between the Ronin network (or any supported EVM-based network like Ethereum) and the Solana network. This eliminates the need for external bridges for specific pairs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I don't see Solana in my network list. How do I find it?
A: Solana support is disabled by default to keep the interface clean. To enable it, navigate to Settings > Active Network and toggle the switch next to Solana to the ON position.
Q: I am using a Hardware Wallet or Keyless Wallet. Why can't I see Solana?
A: Solana support is not currently available for Hardware Wallets (Trezor, Ledger) or Keyless Wallets. These wallet types currently only support EVM networks (Ronin/Ethereum) within the Ronin Wallet app.
Q: I imported my Solana Private Key, but I cannot see a corresponding Ronin/Ethereum address. Why?
A: This is expected behavior. When you import a specific Private Key, the wallet only imports the specific account associated with that key. It does not have the "master" data required to generate addresses on other networks.
- Fix: If you want both addresses generated automatically, you must import using your Secret Recovery Phrase (Seed Phrase). Alternatively, you can manually import the private key for your EVM wallet separately.
Q: Why are my old transactions not showing in my newly imported Solana wallet?
A: For the Solana network, the Ronin Wallet Activity tab currently displays "Local History Only." This means it only tracks transactions made within the app on your current device. Past transactions from before you imported the wallet, or transactions made on other devices, will not appear in the in-app Activity log.
- Fix: To view your full, historical transaction history, tap the Solscan hyperlink in the Activity tab or click on the Check explorer button below.
Q: Can I swap tokens directly from Solana to Ronin (EVM), and vice versa?
A: Yes. The Ronin Wallet supports direct cross-chain swaps. You can swap your SOL or SPL tokens directly to any supported EVM-compatible network in the Ronin wallet without needing an external bridge, and vice versa.
Q: Does importing my Solana wallet Seed Phrase reset my current wallet?
A: No, it does not have to. Ronin Wallet supports multi-wallet management, allowing you to have up to 3 Seed Phrase wallets and 1 Social Login account active simultaneously. To add a new wallet without removing your current one, go to Settings > Manage Wallet > Import Existing Wallet.
Q: Which assets are supported on the Solana network within Ronin Wallet?
A: You can manage native SOL, standard SPL tokens, and Solana NFTs.
