Eligible Ronin users have the opportunity to claim a permanent Ronin Name Service [RNS] domain or upgrade an existing one, which they can then use as their Ronin Profile handle, completely free of charge. This allows you to secure your identity in the Ronin ecosystem for life.
You will see a prompt on your Ronin Profile notifying you to "Claim your free handle" if you are eligible.
NOTE: The eligibility criteria for receiving this offer are determined solely by the Sky Mavis team. More eligible users will be added within the next 2 days after launch. If you do not see the prompt on your profile, it means your account is currently not eligible.
For Users Without an Existing RNS Domain
If you do not currently own any RNS domains, you can secure a permanent handle at no cost by choosing a 8+ character RNS name.
Step 1: Click the "Claim your Free handle" prompt on your Ronin Profile.
Step 2: Choose a desired RNS domain name that is 8 characters or longer [e.g., axiebuba.ron]. Confirm your selection by clicking Claim.
Step 3: Select the wallet you want to register the RNS with, and click on Claim & Set as Handle.
You’ll then receive a confirmation message and the chosen 8+ character RNS is registered to your wallet and extended for life as your Ronin Profile handle, completely free of charge.
Alternative: Register a Short RNS Yourself
If you wish to use a short (less than 8 character) RNS name, you must register and pay for it yourself first. Once the registration is complete and the RNS is in your wallet, you will then proceed with the flow for users with existing RNS to select it and extend its term for life.
For Users With an Existing RNS Domain
If your wallet already owns one or more RNS domains [either registered previously or a short name you just registered], you can use this opportunity to upgrade one of them to be your permanent profile handle for life.
Step 1: Click the "Claim now!" prompt on your Ronin Profile.
Step 2: A list of your existing RNS domains from your connected Ronin wallet addresses will be displayed. Select the RNS domain you wish to use as your permanent Ronin Profile Handle and click Set as handle.
Step 3: This will set the RNS as your handle, and prompt you if you want to use your 1 free upgrade to extend that RNS for life. Click Claim now if you want to proceed, otherwise you can go through this process again to select a different RNS instead at a later time.
After confirming your selection, the selected RNS domain's term is upgraded to lifetime ownership, and it is set as your Ronin Profile handle.
