There are two ways to bring a MetaMask Wallet onto your Ronin Wallet and we will guide you on how to do both ways.
- You do not have a Ronin Wallet and you want to create a new one by importing the MetaMask Wallet using your Seed Phrase.
- You already have a Ronin Wallet and you only need to import a specific MetaMask account onto that wallet.
Generating a Ronin Wallet using MetaMask Wallet Seed Phrase
Below you'll find a guide on how to generate a new Ronin Wallet from an existing Metamask wallet:
Step 1: Open your MetaMask Wallet and click on the profile icon on the top right.
Step 2: Click on Settings.
Step 3: Click on Security & privacy.
Step 4: Click on Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase.
Step 5: Type in your wallet password, then click on Next.
Step 6: Press and hold the Hold to reveal SRP button until the Secret Recovery Phrase is shown.
Step 7: Copy the Secret Recovery Phrase.
Step 8: On the Ronin Wallet setup screen, click "Import your wallet" and then "Recovery Phrase or Private Key"
Step 9: Enter the secret recovery phrase you have copied earlier, then clic "Import". You will be asked to create a passcode to secure your wallet afterwards.
You will then receive a message that you have successfully imported your wallet.
Importing a MetaMask Wallet Account into Ronin Wallet
Please see below for steps to import your Metamask wallet into Ronin using your Metamask private key.
Step 1: Open your MetaMask wallet and click on the three dot menu, then click Account details.
Step 2: Click on the Export private key.
Note: You will see your private key on the next screen, make sure that no one sees this private key.
Step 3: Type in your password and click on Confirm.
Step 4: Copy the Private Key and add a 0x at the beginning of the private key, Example if the private key is abc12… You need to copy the full private key and add “0x” to the start like this 0xabc12… (Again do not reveal this key to anyone, as anyone with the private key can access your wallet account.)
Step 5: Open your Ronin Wallet on Google Chrome and click on Settings and Manage Wallets.
Step 6: Click on Import Existing Wallet.
Step 7: Click on Recovery Phrase or Private Key.
Step 8: Paste your private key with the “0x” prefix onto the input field and click on Import.
Congrats you have now imported your MetaMask Account onto Ronin Wallet using the private key.
