Ronin Steam Portal - Redeeming Steam Items

Players who’ve earned Steam items from Fortune Spin machines [such as the Counter Strike Machine] can redeem them to claim them to their Steam accounts. Here’s a quick guide to help you claim your virtual item.

NOTE: To start claiming Counter Strike items, you have to claim them as NFTs from the machine first. You may refer to our guide on how to claim prizes from the Fortune Machine.

Claiming Restrictions

The claiming of Steam items is done through the Trade Offers feature on Steam.

As Steam imposes trading restrictions on some accounts, you may not be able to receive trade offers:

  • If you don’t have a valid Steam purchase between 7 days and 1 year old, or if you have recent chargebacks or payment disputes.
  • If your account password was recently reset.
  • If your account is limited.
  • If you recently enabled or reset Steam Guard and haven’t waited 15 days yet.
  • If your account hasn’t had Steam Guard enabled for at least 15 days.

Your Inventory Privacy settings [Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings > Inventory] should also be set to Public in order to receive trade offers via your Trade URL.

Make sure that your account is eligible to trade before proceeding with claiming Steam items.

Trade URL Setup

To start claiming items, you will first need to set up your Steam trade URL.

Step 1: Go to the Steam Portal and connect your wallet.

Step 2: On the Trade URL page, enter your Trade URL in the field, confirm that the profile preview shown matches your Steam account. If you don’t see any profile preview, it means you might have entered an invalid link. Click Save once you can see the correct profile, then sign the transaction with your wallet to confirm the changes.

NOTE: You can get the Trade URL from your Steam account by going to Item Inventory > Trade Offers > Who can send me Trade Offers?.

Redemption Process

Step 1: Go to the My Items page of the Steam Portal. You’ll be shown the Counter Strike item NFTs available in your wallet to claim. Select the items you want to claim, then click View Cart.

Step 2: You’ll see the list of items that you are claiming. Click on Redeem to proceed with the claim.

Step 3: You’ll be asked to confirm several transactions to approve the bulk transfer of the NFTs and the actual transfer transaction itself.

NOTE: Once you confirm the transactions, you cannot convert the items back to NFTs. Make sure that you really want to claim the items before proceeding.

Step 4: Once all transactions are confirmed, you’ll just need to wait for your claim to be processed. This might take 24 to 72 hours.

Step 5: Once your claim is processed, you’ll receive a trade offer in Steam for you to receive the claimed items. Click Respond to Offer.

If the trade is reversed or cannot push through for whatever reason, another trade offer will be continuously resent for the same items until the withdrawal is fully completed.

Step 6: Click on Confirm trade contents, then click Accept Trade to complete the transfer.

You’ll then receive a confirmation message showing the items you received and can start using them in-game.

NOTE: Due to Steam’s trade protection feature, you won’t be able to see the items in your inventory or trade them for 7 days from when you received them.

Withdrawal History

You may check your claim/withdrawal history by going to the Withdraws page. This page will show you item claims that are still pending to be processed, as well as completed claims.
