You can stake liquidity pool (LP) tokens on Katana to participate in RON farming. Farming involves providing liquidity to a pool and receiving farm rewards in the form of RON tokens. The amount of RON you earn is proportional to the number of LP tokens you stake to which farming opportunities are limited and vary over time.
How to Start Farming RON tokens
As a prerequisite to farming RON on Katana, you first need to have LP tokens in the Katana pool that distributes farm rewards. First, go to the Liquidity pool page, then turn on the Farms only filter to show the pools that offer farm rewards. Then check the How to Add Liquidity section in our Katana Liquidity Pool Guide to start providing liquidity. Once you have successfully provided liquidity in the pool, proceed with the steps below:
Step 1. Connect Ronin Wallet
Open the Katana Liquidity Pool page and connect your Ronin Wallet.
Step 2. Select Pool to Farm RON from
Select the Liquidity pool page, then turn on the Farms only filter to show the pools that offer farm rewards. All farming pools have a visual indicator with the lightning and RON symbol to the right side of the pool name.
Now select the pool you want to farm RON from, then click the Farm rewards tab, and then select Stake. This opens the Stake panel for staking your LP tokens. In the My position panel, you can see how many tokens you have staked and how many are available in your wallet.
Step 3. Enter Amount of LP Tokens to Stake
Enter the amount of LP tokens you want to stake. You can also click Max to stake the maximum amount of LP tokens you have in the pool.
Note: If you interact with the LP token for the first time, you need to approve it.
Click Approve, then confirm the transaction in your Ronin Wallet.
Step 4. Review & Confirm the Transaction
Once you have reviewed the staking details and everything checks out, click Stake and confirm the transaction in your Ronin Wallet to finalize. Katana will display a confirmation pop-up like the image below:
Close it or click View on explorer to see the detailed information about the transaction.
After closing the pop-up window, you will see an update in your total LP tokens staked and available in wallet.
Congratulations, you are now farming RON on Katana!
How to Claim Staking Rewards
To claim the rewards, you can either claim from the My Positions tab or from the Farm Rewards tab in the specific LP token page that you are currently farming.
Option 1: Claim from the My positions tab
Open the Liquidity pool page, select My positions, and then click Claim next to the pool you want to claim rewards from.
Option 2: Claim from the Farm rewards tab
Open the Liquidity pool page, select the pool to claim rewards from, then open the Farm rewards tab, and then click Claim all.
After clicking either of the Claim buttons, you will need to confirm the transaction in your Ronin Wallet to complete the transaction.
When the transaction has been successfully processed, Katana will display a confirmation pop-up.
How to Stop Farming RON tokens
To stop farming RON tokens, you need to unstake the LP tokens from the farm pool.
Step 1. Connect Ronin Wallet
Open the Katana Liquidity Pool page and connect your Ronin Wallet.
Step 2. Select Pool to Unstake From
Select the pool you want to unstake from, then click the Farm rewards tab, and then select Unstake. This opens the Unstake panel for unstaking your LP tokens.
Step 3. Enter Amount of LP Tokens to Unstake
Enter the amount of LP tokens you want to unstake. You can also click Max to unstake all your LP tokens.
Step 4. Review & Confirm the Transaction
Once you have reviewed the unstaking details and everything checks out, click Unstake and confirm the transaction in your Ronin Wallet. Once successful, Katana will display a confirmation pop-up.
Close it or click View on explorer to see the detailed information about the transaction.
After unstaking, you can see an update in your total LP tokens staked and available in wallet reflective of the changes you made.
